Wearing ear protection is no bad thing if you are a drummer. Indeed, there are some great in-ear plugs that are not too bulky (or fall off while playing) that also enable sound to pass through at lower levels (i.e. when you pause to talk about the music with a teacher) so you don't have to keep putting them in and out. I am happy to advise more about this during our first lesson - especially when it comes to young learners where the advice is slightly different.

Yes I currently offer lessons to a wide range of ages (6+) & have a vast amount of experience in teaching all ages. I would recommend a shorter lesson for younger learners.

I would recommend taking an hours lesson each week to ensure that you are able to build on your knowledge and progress at a good speed. An hours lesson every other week also works well. For younger students, I have found 1/2 hour lesson work best.
